Artist Bio
One of Michelle Curiel's first childhood memories is when
she sat staring in amazement while her mother colored in one
of her coloring books. The colors she used were so beautiful,
the strokes so magical. She thought her mother was the best
artist in the world. This is where Michelle's inspiration
to become an artist began.
Michelle found a passion with designing websites. She created
a Latin American community that focused on inspiring others
to follow their dreams, encouraging creativity and bringing
people from different cultures together. Within a year of
launching the website, it received over 6,000 visits daily
and also received media attention. What started out as a hobby,
became her career. She has moved on from the website to pursue
a career in web design. She now designs and develops websites
professionally.
Michelle always kept an open eye out for the powerful gift
she had always felt she had but did not know how to unlock
- until the day she found Rassouli's paintings in the Agape
Sanctuary in Culver City. These paintings called out to her
in a way that she had never encountered. She was drawn to
them not for the beautiful paintings that they were, but for
the overwhelming feeling of love that she strongly felt when
she looked at them. Shortly thereafter, she had an opportunity
to meet Rassouli and take his "Painting from the heart"
teachings.
Since then, Michelle has learned different ways to approach
creating images and paintings. She has learned to remove her
judgment, criticism and attachment to the end result. She
has learned to add unconditional love and freedom to her works
of art. She now find endless possibilities of inspiration
and beauty on canvas.
The message of Michelle's work is to remember the beauty
that is always within us regardless of undesirable circumstances
that may occur. This beauty is love, understanding, creativity
and inspiration. It is with you at all times when you look
for it with your heart.
